All aspects relating to absorption and/or redirection of energy in glass and related materials will be the subject of this symposium, including absorption (including intrinsic and extrinsic sources and their temperature dependencies), scattering, reflection, energy trapping, resonance behavior, and characterization techniques. Theoretical and experimental approaches are welcome.
