Shin-ichi Nishimura

Shin-ichi Nishimura is a Senior Researcher (2010) at The University of Tokyo, Japan.

He received his Ph.D. (2009) and M.S. (2007) in Inorganic Solid State Chemistry from Tokyo Institute of Technology in Yokohama, Japan, and B.S. (2005) in Chemical Engineering from Nara National College of Technology, Japan. He was an Assistant Professor at The University of Tokyo from 2009 to 2010.

Dr. Nishimura has published 47 refereed journal papers. He received the Spriggs Phase Equilibria Award from The American Ceramic Society in 2010.

His current work focuses on the synthesis and crystal structure analysis/determination of electrode active materials for batteries. His interests are in materials exploration for energy related applications and their structure analysis. Dr. Nishimura is pursuing deeper understanding of the energy storage materials with higher precision/accuracy structural analysis.
