ACerS President’s Council of Student Advisors (PCSA) organized the SCHOTT Shot Glass Contest at ICACC’11 in Daytona Beach. Entrants were given 15 drinking straws to keep an ordinary shot glass from breaking during the subsequent drop test. The shot glasses, encased in straws, were dropped until the breaking threshold was reached, over 25 feet. There were 22 entrants in the contest but only one winner: Moritz to Baben from RWTH Aachen University, Germany.
