Students have the great opportunity to tour NASA Johnson Space Center on Monday, October 18, 10 a.m. to noon, during MS&T’10 in Houston, TX, USA. Bus transportation will depart from the Avenida De Las Americas in front of Exhibit Hall D of the George R. Brown Convention Center at 9 a.m. and will return no later than 1 p.m. Times and locations are subject to change.

The NASA Johnson Space Center has a large research program, including everything from flight mechanics and robotics to electronic and software design for navigation and communication. Other areas of research include the development and testing of thermal control systems for astronauts and structural tests of elements under different conditions such as the initial launch, ascent, and on-orbit stages of use. You don’t want to miss this tour, focusing on materials and how they are used at NASA when developing new advances in space exploration.

Space is limited, so RSVP today. To sign up for the tour, contact Claire Weiss by October 1.

This tour is brought to you by ACerS President’s Council of Student Advisors (PCSA).
