Computational Design of Ceramic Materials (CDCM)

Focus Computational approaches to ceramic science and engineering.
Goal(s) Promote computational approaches for rational design of ceramic materials and integrate them into research programs with experimental and applied components.
Champions Liping Huang, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; Veena Tikare, Sandia National Labs; Sujanto Widjaja and Randall Youngman, Corning Incorporated
Participants Ram Devanathan, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory; Jing Yang Wang, Shenyang National Laboratory for Materials Science, China; Jincheng Du, University of North Texas; Walter Kob, Université Montpellier II, France; Ariharan S, IIT Kanpur; Sandro Gianella, EngiCer SA; Kesong Yang, University of California, San Diego
Activities Serve as advisory group for computational symposium at ACerS meetings, organize workshops on challenging areas in modeling and simulation of ceramic materials; promote standard procedures on publishing computational work in ceramic materials.
