H.C. Starck announces AMPERPRINT metal powder program for additive manufacturing

H.C. Starck Surface Technology and Ceramic Powders GmbH introduces its new AMPERPRINT range of gas atomized metal powders, specifically designed for additive manufacturing. The German metal powder producer offers high-alloyed nickel, cobalt, and iron based powders.


Quantum Materials achieves record performance for pure red cadmium-free quantum dots

American quantum dot manufacturer Quantum Materials Corp announced that it has achieved 99.5% quantum yield efficiency for the company’s pure red (630 nm emission peak) cadmium-free quantum dots. The dots offer the highest photon conversion efficiency in the industry.


Toyota to build $1.6B US plant with rival Mazda

Toyota Motor Corp. and rival Mazda Motor Corp. are expected to build a $1.6 billion U.S. assembly plant as part of a new joint venture. The plant will be capable of producing 300,000 vehicles a year, with production divided between the two automakers, and will employ about 4,000 people when it opens in 2021.


Guardian Glass to construct second glass plant in Poland
