Students—Are you interested in expanding your knowledge this summer?

The European Ceramic Society (ECerS) is hosting Summer School 2017 in Budapest, Hungary on July 7 and 8.

“Innovative Technologies in the Field of Ceramic Manufacturing” is the theme of this year’s summer school, which is being held in conjunction with ECerS’ 15th Conference and Exhibition.

Internationally recognized subject-matter experts will deliver presentations on 10 topics, including advanced ceramics, additive ceramic manufacturing, flash sintering, microwave sintering, cellular ceramics, cold sintering, eutectic ceramic composites, and more. Click here to see the complete list of topics.

This is a great opportunity to increase your knowledge and meet other students in your field.

ACerS is providing up to $1,500 in travel support to selected students from universities outside Europe. Eligible students must be members of ACerS or the GGRN, Material Advantage, or Keramos.

To apply for financial assistance, complete the application and submit a one-page letter expressing your interest in attending, along with a list of your other sources and amounts of financial support. Indicate how the summer school is related to your current field of study. In addition, you must also secure a letter of recommendation from one of your faculty members.

Send all of the above to Belinda Raines, outreach manager at braines@ceramics.org before May 5, 2017.

Make sure you also register for the summer school! Deadline is May 15, 2017. Visit the ECerS page for more information and to download the registration form.

ECerS also encourages students who are attending summer school to attend its annual conference, July 9-13. Visit this page for registration information.
