Just to round out my spat of recent posts on LEDs, I thought I’d mention that I came across discussion of the invitation-only J.P. Morgan LED General Lighting symposium starting tomorrow (Feb. 24) in Santa Clara, Calif.

Typically, these are situations where the investment banker (i.e., J.P. Morgan) is attempting to facilitate a tête-à-tête between investors and specific companies. Indeed, J.P. Morgan says, “The aim of this investor event is to learn more from those companies that are focused on the technology around the adoption of LEDs for general lighting applications and to provide a corporate access opportunity.” Participants usually hope that some deals can be cut at the meeting or shortly thereafter.
