Published on August 19th, 2011 | By: pwray@ceramics.org

Seriously. We do. While doing some research, I was perusing the online ACerS Career Center’s listings (free to job hunters and employers!) and noticed there are something like 54 positions employers are trying to fill.

Here is the breakdown, by category (some overlaps):

Management (4)
Engineering (35)
Purchasing (1)
Sales (2)
Research (10)
Production (6)
Marketing (1)
Consultant (2)
Professor (3)
Scientist (10)
Other (1)

These vacancies tend to fill quickly. Don’t snooze and lose. And, even if you have a job, check out what the employment market is like.

  1. Nil Ünal says:

    To whom it may concern,

I am currently a Ph.D candidate in materials science and engineering and I will have my degree in 2012.
I am interested in powder metallurgy, especially powder injection molding. I have my bachelor’s degree in metallurgical and materials engineering and starting from my bachelor’s till now I had many practical experiences in this field. I have worked on structural ceramics, metal powders and also composites.
I have won the 1st prize on my master thesis from European Powder Metallurgy Association. Moreover, during my Ph.D., I have got a scholarship from DAAD, thus I have realized my practical experiments in two different institutes in Germany.
I would be happy to get an information regarding the vacancies mentioned above, especially on management, engineering, research, production and scientist.
If it is necessary, I would be happy to send my CV for further information concerning my profession.
    Best regards,
    Nil Ünal
