Ardagh Group reports second quarter revenue

Ardagh Group reported revenue of €1.281 billion in the second quarter of 2014—an increase of 28 percent over the same period in 2013. In its half-year financial report it confirmed the acquisition of Verallia North America (VNA) in April 2014,  and the subsequent Anchor glass sale in June 2014. From the date the acquisition closed, VNA contributed revenue of €269 million and EBITDA of €49 million to Ardagh’s results for the six months ended June 30, 2014.

Plibrico appoints Emico International as exclusive materials sales agent

Plibrico Company, LLC has announced the appointment of Emico International as the preferred exclusive agent for Plibrico material sales in Pakistan. Emico will operate from their headquarters in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Emico International currently designs, distributes and services complete industrial solutions for the cement, power, mining and food processing industries. 

Antidumping duty orders maintained on refined brown aluminum oxide

The U.S. government determined on Thursday it would maintain the existing antidumping duty orders on refined brown aluminum oxide (RBAO) from China, despite Beijing ‘s repeated calls for Washington to “drop protectionism.” The antidumping duty margin on the product is 135.18 percent.
