The Basic Science Division of the American Ceramic Society is encouraging participation of young professionals in the 4th International Congress on Ceramics to be held in Chicago in July 2012 by offering six scholarships
of $500 each to offset meeting registration and travel costs.
Eligibility
Young professionals who received their PhD degree after January 2008 and who plan to participate in the conference with a poster presentation.
Application Process
Candidates should submit a tentative abstract for a traditional or interactive (electronic) poster presentation and a statement of interest in the conference (limited to 300 words). Applications should be submitted to Scott Misture, BSD chair, by Jan. 6, 2012 at misture@alfred.edu.
Selection Process
The BSD officers will serve as the selection committee, and will notify the winners by Jan. 10, 2012 in time to submit a final abstract to the meeting.
