Meeting Description

During the last decades, fractography became increasingly important in characterization and understanding of degradation processes in advanced ceramics. The Institute of Materials Research of the Slovak Academy of Sciences organizes this conference with the aim to contribute to the improvement of mechanical and functional properties, reliability, and lifetime of structural, and functional and biomedical ceramics by means of focused discussions and exchange of the current status of knowledge in damage mechanisms and fracture processes in these materials.
