This conference would be the second in what is envisioned to be a regular series of meetings to be held every three to four years.

Similar to the first ECI conference in this series, the vision is to have 4 main topic areas:
1 - Processing;
2 - Environmental Response (Thermodynamic Considerations, Oxidation Behavior, Eutectic formation);
3 - Characterization (Thermomechanical Properties, Subscale testing); and
4 - Applications (Hypersonics and Propulsion).
