A total of 301 people from 20 countries attended the annual Glass & Optical Materials Division meeting, which was hosted May 15-19, 2011 at the Hilton Savannah DeSoto in Savannah, GA. Joseph V. Ryan and Amanda Brennecka (GOMD Program Co-Chairs), the GOMD Executive Committee and over 40 organizers put together a program that included four concurrent symposia. The 28 sessions featured 200 oral presentations and 40 poster presentations.
