Students have the opportunity to visit Amedica Corporation in Salt Lake City, UT, USA, on Monday, October 24, 2016, from 12 to 5 p.m., during MS&T16.

According to the company website, Amedica Corporation is a biomedical corporation with scientific and manufacturing expertise to produce medical grade silicon nitride. Silicon nitride is bioactive and compatible across all imaging modalities, offering surgeons and patients a preferable alternative to commonly used materials.

The visit will include an overview of Amedica and biomedical silicon nitride, product overviews, and a plant tour. The visit will conclude with a reception with informal conversation, snacks, and drinks.
