The annual Glass Focus event will take place Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019 in Sheffield, U.K. The event, organized by British Glass, will include a full daytime program of speakers, networking, and discussions, followed by the evening gala awards dinner.

The campaign directs funding toward environmental groups’ lobbying efforts in state legislatures, city councils, and public utility commissions, and to elect local politicians with pro-clean energy policies.

GED acquires Elite Manufacturing Solutions

GED Integrated Solutions Inc. acquired Elite Manufacturing Solutions, which adds machining capacity, manufacturing engineering support, and operations leadership expertise to GED. Elite Manufacturing Solutions, now a GED business, will relocate to GED’s manufacturing facility in Glenwillow, Ohio.

Engineering group to hold additive manufacturing conference

The American Society of Mechanical Engineers said it will host AM Medical: Additive Manufacturing & 3D Innovations on May 27–28, 2020, at the Minneapolis Convention Center. The new event will focus exclusively on 3D innovations in an interactive, collaborative environment for learning and sharing.

EBTEC Corporation completes a major move and expansion

EBTEC Corporation, a division of EDAC Technologies, moved to an 83,500 square-foot facility located in East Windsor, Conn. The facility houses an array of new manufacturing equipment, including four air-plasma and HVOF coatings booths, which allow EBTEC to now offer coating services.
