Ford invests in future with new LED lighting at manufacturing plants
Ford Motor Company is installing LED lighting at manufacturing facilities across the globe. The new lights, valued at more than $25 million, will save energy and money while improving safety and lighting quality. The 25,000 new LED fixtures are expected to reduce Ford’s energy use at manufacturing facilities by 56 million kilowatt-hours annually.
AGC launches Clearsight anti-reflective glass for outdoor use
In Japan, AGC has begun sales of Clearsight, an anti-reflective glass with improved weather and chemical resistant coating, highly suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The glass has special coating applied on both surfaces that reduces light reflectance and minimizes reflection.

Harper International has finalized a contract for a research-scale carbon fiber processing line for use by a leading carbon fiber research institute in Asia. The Harper Microline will include their innovative oxidation ovens, LT and HT furnaces, state-of-the-art HMI supervisory control interface, material handling and treatment systems, waste gas abatement systems, and UHT furnace technology rated to 2800°C.
