Documents show acrimony over failed Apple–GT Advanced Tech deal

Bankruptcy court documents reveal new details about the falling-out between tech giant Apple Inc. and sapphire glassmaker GT Advanced Technologies. GT and Apple have been at odds for several weeks over a 2013 agreement to produce sapphire glass at the Mesa factory.

In a stock exchange filing, RCL said that physical entry into Australia involves a proposed initial investment of AUD 525,000 (Rs. 61.5 million).

H.C. Starck and Ningxia reach settlement agreement in patent infringement case

H.C. Starck has reached a settlement agreement in an ongoing patent infringement complaint with Ningxia Orient Tantalum Industry Co. Ltd. Subject of the lawsuit was the infringement of a patent held by H.C. Starck relating to high capacitance tantalum powders and sintered anodes that are manufactured from these powders.

Schott to restructure Duryea plant

Schott North America Inc. will move and centralize a portion of its optical glass production to its headquarters in Mainz, Germany, in March 2015. Schott will provide outplacement services to displaced employees and, if available, offer alternative jobs at the Duryea plant and other locations.
