The Hilton Savannah Desoto is located in the heart of historic downtown Savannah, and overlooks Madison Square. It is 14 miles from Savannah International Airport, and within walking distance of River Street, the civic center, visitor center, and City Market. The Hilton Savannah Desoto is sold out of rooms on Friday, May 13th and Saturday, May 15th. The Government room block is also sold out. Additional rooms have been secured at the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown/Historic District. Attendees seeking a room must call (912) 790-8287 and reference The American Ceramic Society to obtain the $97.00 per night government per diem or reference GOMD to obtain the $139.00 per night conference rate. Government rate users must show a government ID upon checking into the hotel. The cut-off date for this rate is April 18th. The Courtyard is approximately a six-minute walk from the Hilton.


The student room block at the Hilton Savannah Desoto is sold out. Students are encouraged to make a reservation in the regular block at the $139.00 rate.  The room rate will be $139.00 for single, double, triple, and quad occupancy.

Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport is approximately 14 miles or a 20 minute drive from the Hilton Savannah DeSoto.

Taxis: It is approximately a $28.00 taxi cab fare one way from the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport to the Savannah Downtown Historic Area and the Hilton Savannah DeSoto. Taxi cabs are located on the lower level outside of baggage claim and are available on-demand for service to any destination.

Shuttle Service:
Chatham Area Transit (CAT) buses run to and from the airport on a daily basis, servicing many locations in the Savannah Area. Please visit CAT’s web site or call (912) 233-5767 for details and schedules. The #2 West Chatham bus services the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport. Riders can catch the 2 West Chatham at any bus stop located along the downtown loop. Access timetables and routes. Cash fare each boarding is $1.00.
