This webinar will feature a presentation from Professor Surojit Gupta (University of North Dakota). His presentation will discuss the process of ideation and opportunity analysis by presenting different case studies on structural ceramics and sustainable technologies. 

INSTRUCTOR’S BIOGRAPHY

Prof. Surojit Gupta

Dr. Surojit Gupta is an associate professor of mechanical engineering in the University of North Dakota. Dr. Gupta has published over 50 technical papers, five patents, and has given over 20 invited/keynote talks and over 70 contributed presentations in several international, national and local conferences. Previously, Dr. Gupta was employed by The Rutgers University. Prior to that, he was a postdoctoral fellow at The Pennsylvania State University.  Dr. Gupta finished his doctoral studies from Drexel University and MBA from University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Dr. Gupta has won several awards: The ACerS Du Co Ceramics YP Award, Chatwal Memorial Award, TMS Young Professional Development Award, Dean’s Teaching Professorship, Dean’s Award for Outstanding Faculty (2016), Global Young Investigator (ECD, ACerS, 2016), ASM/IIM Lectureship (2016). Dr. Gupta is also a passionate educator and has supervised several graduate theses.
