Underrepresented engineers and scientists face systemic challenges in their careers not familiar to the broader ceramics/engineering community. In order to address these inequities, organizations and institutions must be a part of the solution.
The ACerS Northern California section is committed to providing a platform to help educate and empower others, and to share experiences and advice. Speakers from academia, industry, and ACerS national organization will provide their insight regarding concrete actions for individuals and organizations to take to address subconscious biases and improve representation.
