Calling all materials scientists, engineers, researchers, and manufacturers: If you haven’t submitted your abstracts for the 40th International Conference and Expo on Advanced Ceramics and Composites, there’s still time!
The deadline for ICACC’16 call for papers is now extended to Aug. 3, 2015.
Be part of the cutting-edge research and product developments in advanced ceramics, armor ceramics, solid oxide fuel cells, ceramic coatings, bioceramics, and more at this year’s event. Contribute to the growing body of knowledge and state-of-the-art advancements in all-things materials technology.
Organized by the Engineering Ceramics Division of The American Ceramic Society since 1977, ICACC has experienced tremendous growth in interest and participation from ceramic researchers and developers from national, regional, and global technical communities. This year’s meeting continues the tradition and adds a few grand celebrations to mark the event’s 40th year.
The award and plenary speakers program kicks off ICACC’16 on January 25th with presentations from Jeffrey Wadsworth, president and CEO at Battelle; and Hai-Doo Kim, president of the Korea Institute of Materials Science.
Wadsworth is the recipient of the ECD James I. Mueller Award, which recognizes the accomplishments of those who have made significant contributions to the field of engineering ceramics.
Kim is receiving the ECD Bridge Builder Award for his contributions to the field of engineering ceramics outside the United States, including expansion of the knowledge base.
The ICACC’16 technical program consists of 14 symposia, six focused sessions, and the 5th Global Young Investigator Forum.
While you’re there, make sure to attend the special 40th Jubilee Symposium to celebrate the meeting’s anniversary and honor those who have contributed to its success. A special book is being published for the event, and the celebration will include a banquet dinner and exclusive educational presentations.
ICACC’16 will be held at the Hilton Daytona Beach in Daytona Beach, Fla., January 24–29, 2016.
