Hosted by the Structural Clay Products Division, this webinar is presented by Prof. John Sanders of Clemson University. Capillary rheometry is a useful tool in characterizing the extrusion behavior of traditional ceramic materials used for making structural ceramics. In this study, four raw materials were characterized and compared against a known raw materials that extrudes well. A full rheometric study consisting of six extrusion velocities for three different die sizes, at three moisture contents per material were carried out.
