Meeting Description

GOMD 2010 will be hosted in Corning, New York, May 16-20, 2010. GOMD 2010 features symposia on Glass Science, Glass Technology, Glass Corrosion, Glass Structure & Properties, and a special symposium in honor of Professor Robert H. Doremus. Sessions will highlight a range of topics in with emphasis on interdisciplinary studies incorporating physics, chemistry, materials science, mathematics, and engineering. Poster abstracts will also be accepted for all sessions and symposia. As a special bonus, full conference registration includes the GMIC/DOE-sponsored workshop. Space is limited so sign up to attend the workshop when you register for this important meeting. Don’t forget to purchase your ticket for the Workshop’s dinner Wednesday evening.

Who Should Attend

GOMD 2010 is designed for those who are involved or interested in the scientific research & development, application, and manufacturing of all glass types, including fiber optics, encapsulation of nuclear and hazardous wastes in glasses, interaction of glass & ceramics in medicine and biotechnology, super high-strength glasses, and countless other applications.
