Gordon H. Johnson was senior research engineer for the Ferro Corp.

Johnson received his undergraduate training in ceramic engineering from the University of Illimois and his graduate training for Pennsylvania State University.

Johnson joined The American Ceramic Society in 1943 and was named a Fellow of the Society in 1968. He was a member of the Ceramic–Metal Systems Division of ACerS and curated the division’s work into a publication, “Ceramic–Metal Systems and Enamel Bibliography 1960-66.” Later, he also was affiliated with Electronics Division.

Johnson also was the chair of ACerS’ Northern Ohio Section, and a member of Keramos and NICE.
