The Japan Chapter of The American Ceramic Society serves ACerS members throughout Japan for the purpose of promoting the arts and sciences connected with ceramics and glass science and engineering. Events such as workshops, industrial showcases, and seminars are planned to enhance and facilitate the interaction, technical discussions, and potential collaborations between and among ACerS members in Japan.

The Japan Chapter is headquartered in Osaka, Japan.

Japan Chapter completes Fulrath Award Lecture

The Japan Chapter of The American Ceramic Society and the International Committee of the Ceramic Society of Japan completed the International Session at the 2023 Annual Meeting of the Ceramic Society of Japan in Yokohama, Japan on March 9, 2023.

Japan Chapter completes International Session at 61st Symposium on Basic Science of Ceramics

The International Session, jointly organized by the Japan Chapter of ACerS and The Ceramic Society of Japan, was held January 7, 2023 at the 61st Symposium on Basic Science of Ceramics at Okayama University, Tsushima Campus, Okayama, Japan.

Awards for Excellent Presentation were given to Norifumi Asakuma (left below), Zannatul Mumtarin Moushumy (center below), and a award for Impressive Presentation was given to  Nanami Nakayama (right, below).

The Japan Chapter congratulates these three individuals for outstanding performance.

Japan Chapter announces the Richard M. Fulrath Award Recipient Lecture, International session, at the 2022 Annual Meeting of the Ceramic Society of Japan

The International Committee of the Ceramic Society of Japan and the Japan Chapter of the American Ceramic Society organized the Richard M. Fulrath Award Lecture, International session at the 2022 Annual Meeting of the Ceramic Society of Japan.

Japan Chapter participates in the 60th Symposium on Basic Science of Ceramics

The Japan Chapter and The Ceramic Society of Japan recently jointly organized the International Session at the 60th Symposium on Basic Science of Ceramics, January 8 and 9, 2022.

Congratulations to the speakers who were recognized for best oral presentations:

ACerS Japan Chapter announces inaugural event

The Japan Chapter of ACerS is pleased to announce their inaugural event, The International Symposium at the Annual Spring Meeting of the Ceramic Society of Japan took place on March 25 2021. The symposium was co-organized with the Ceramic Society of Japan and the new Japan Chapter of ACerS.
