The ACerS YPN+1 program aims to offer ways that Young Professionals Network (YPN) members may seek to become involved within ACerS and their divisions in leadership roles.

The YPN Steering Committee has been working hard to put together a program that helps to provide leadership opportunities to ACerS Young Professionals Network (YPN) members within ACerS and their ACerS Divisions.

At this time we are happy to announce the YPN+1 program!

The YPN+1 program offers the following ways that YPN members may seek to become involved in leadership roles. Find out more about each of these leadership opportunities below.

YPN Division Liaison

The opportunity to become a YPN Division Liaison will provide the ability for YPN members to connect in a meaningful way to their ACerS Division, learn how the Division operates, contribute to Division decisions, help promote engagement with other young professionals, and more.

YPN Division Liaisons must be a member of ACerS Young Professionals Network (YPN) and a member of the specific ACerS Division.

The YPN+1 program is open to all eligible YPN members, although preference will be given to those who are not currently enrolled students.

As a YPN Division Liaison you will be expected to:

  • Take part in division leadership conference calls (3-6 times per year).
  • Identify and coordinate opportunities for YPN members to be involved in various Division activities.
  • Recruit and select YPN members to become volunteer symposium co-organizers within the scope of your division.
  • Meet with other YPN Division Liaisons to share successes and challenges (1-2 times per year).
  • Provide collective feedback, along with other liaisons, to the YPN Steering Committee.

Current calls for YPN Division Liaisons

At this time we are soliciting applications for YPN Division Liaisons for the following divisions.

Submit completed application form(s) for the divisions shown above to Yolanda Natividad by July 24, 2023.

The YPN+1 sub-committee will review these applications and notify selected liaisons on or before August 1, 2023.

YPN Symposium Co-organizers

YPN Symposium Co-organizers will be included as co-organizers within established technical sessions at ACerS conferences.

The opportunity to become a YPN Symposium Co-organizer will provide the ability for YPN members to learn how: technical meetings are run, abstracts are selected, and final sessions are organized. The goal will be to provide the YPN Symposium Co-organizers with the confidence to organize their own sessions at future conferences.

YPN Symposium Co-organizers must be a member of ACerS Young Professionals Network (YPN) and at this time will be reviewed/accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
