Session 3: Metallic Glasses

Metallic glasses (MGs) have emerged as one of the most exciting metallic systems in the past two decades, particularly after the discovery of bulk metallic glasses (BMGs). MGs are mostly made up by multiple metallic elements to frustrate crystallization. It is known that MGs exhibits various short-range and medium-range order, with possible anisotropy or heterogeneity. MGs possess many unique material properties, which has resulted in a number of commercial applications. This symposium will cover the composition-structure-property relation in MG systems using experimental or theoretical approaches.
