The Glorious Glass Demo competition involves creating a short 3 to 5 minute video showing the general public something interesting and fun about glass science and/or glass art. While the idea for the demonstration must center around glass science or glass art, in what way that it accomplishes this is up to you!

In addition to the video, you will be asked to also submit a 1-page report explaining the science behind your demonstration to professionals in the field of science and glass art.

All students enrolled in undergraduate or graduate (MS and PhD) studies during the academic year of 2021-2022. ACerS membership and GOMD 2022 registration are not required.

Each of the top three awardees will receive an International Year of Glass plaque of recognition, reimbursement of the conference registration fee, and each will be recognized at the GOMD 2022 conference banquet to be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. In addition, 1st place awardee will receive $500, 2nd place awardee will receive $250, and 3rd place awardee will receive $100.

Visit the Glorious Glass Demo Competition to find out more information and to apply!

Check out the entries below. Participants will be notified of awardees chosen on or before May 20, 2022.
