jacers-100

It’s a centennial achievement for the Journal of the American Ceramic Society (JACerS).

In 2017, JACerS will celebrate its 100th year as a top source for ceramic materials science research, providing scientists, engineers, and students with critically assessed, original research. JACerS article topics cover a broad range, including glass science, crystal chemistry, microscopy and microstructure, bioceramic science, powder processing, and colloidal science.

JACerS publishes more than 4,000 pages across 12 issues per year, with research that spans the widely diverse segments of the ceramic science field—and each article is closely vetted by a panel of experts.

“At JACerS, we think quality greatly depends on a thorough peer review system, an emphasis on the exploration of the scientific details in our papers, and the way the society members and journal staff treats authors,” writes JACerS editor-in-chief John Halloran in the 100th anniversary issue. “At least two reviewers, one associate editor, and one editor review and handle submissions.”

As JACerS begins its 100th year of publication, the journal invites authors to submit their best work for consideration. In the meantime, check out the 100th anniversary issue online!
