Then mark your calendar for Thurs., June 4, 2015 from noon to 4:00 p.m. EST.

The Electronic and Photonic Materials program and the Condensed Matter Physics program in the Division of Materials Research (DMR) at the National Science Foundation will hold a webinar focused on the upcoming CAREER solicitation. The webinar is open to all candidates interested in applying for a CAREER award through the Ceramics Program, too.

This webinar is designed to help young investigators prepare successful CAREER proposal submissions. The agenda includes a rundown of CAREER-specific requirements, suggestions for writing a successful proposal, and an overview of the DMR review process. There will also be a question-and-answer session to address anything related to CAREER proposals.

The Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program offers the NSF’s most prestigious awards in support of the early career-development activities of teacher-scholars who most effectively blend research and education within the context of the mission of their organization.

Strong candidates for the CAREER Program are able to demonstrate their existing academic strengths, but are also capable of developing skills that will further their careers and areas of study.

Participation in the webinar is limited to about 100 attendees, so advance registration is required. To register, e-mail DMR-CAREER-Webinar@nsf.gov and include the word “register” in the subject line, and add a brief message indicating your interest in attending the webinar.
