Tried to post this yesterday but got distracted myself. Actually, the student and young professional mixers at materials meetings seem to go pretty well, however it should be noted that I attend to take photographs, not mix (plus married and wizened, also too). And, I still remember feeling very uncomfortable when I overheard one smitten couple giggling about the function of dampening rings for linear accelerators.
