Are you interested in contributing to a YPN committee? YPN members support four working committees:

  • Communications: The Communications Committee organizes and prepares content and resources of interest to young professionals for the ACerS Bulletin and other ACerS publications. The committee also maintains social media and other avenues for members to connect to help young professionals advance their careers in ceramics and materials science.
  • Programming: The Programming Committee organizes and coordinates YPN-sponsored programs at ACerS meetings along with other professional development activities for professionals early in their career. Past events include networking mixers, webinars, panel discussions and joint programming with other ACerS groups, including PCSA, at international conferences.
  • Recruitment: The Recruitment Committee coordinates strategies for YPN recruitment to promote participation and support active membership in YPN.
  • Student and Outreach: The Student and Outreach Committee is dedicated to increasing the visibility of materials science and especially ceramic sciences throughout national and international classrooms and to students at-large. The Committee accomplishes this through collaborative activities with ACerS student group, PCSA, and opportunities for YPN members to connect with and mentor ACerS student members.
