The Electronics Division requests nominations for the Henry and Hoffman awards:
Edward C. Henry Best Paper Award: deadline July 31, 2012
The Henry Award is given annually to an outstanding paper reporting original work in the Journal of the American Ceramic Society or the Bulletin during the previous calendar year on a subject related to electronic ceramics.
Lewis C. Hoffman Scholarship: deadline July 31, 2012
The $2000 Hoffman Scholarship is awarded to a junior-year undergraduate student in ceramics/materials science and engineering to encourage academic interest and excellence. Applicants are required to write a 500-word essay on the topic “Environmentally benign electronic ceramics.”
