Over 450 people from 20 countries gathered August 19–23 in Jeju Island, South Korea, for the Materials Challenges in Alternative and Renewable Energy 2019 (MCARE 2019) meeting. Started in 2008, MCARE will be held in combination with the Energy Harvesting Society in 2020.
