ACerS commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equity

The American Ceramic Society represents all people involved in the global ceramics and glass community. Our common enthusiasm for solving grand challenges with ceramic and glass materials binds us and leaves no room for artificial boundaries. Therefore, we must continually challenge ourselves to create an interpersonal culture of diversity in the Society and do our best to export it throughout our sphere of influence.

As part of those steps, ACerS created this webpage to highlight awards and initiatives specifically aimed at uplifting the work and voices of people from groups that have been underrepresented in ACerS relative to their participation in the Society.

Awards

ACerS encourages the nomination of diverse individuals for all of its awards. However, to uplift the work of researchers from groups who have been traditionally underrepresented relative to their participation in the Society, ACerS sponsors several awards aimed specifically at recognizing such individuals. See the full list of ACerS awards here.
