Call for Nominations

Board of Directors nominations deadline: Thursday, November 30, 2017

Committee Members nominations deadline: Friday, March 30, 2018

If you have a desire to become more involved in setting the direction of your professional society or know someone who would, the ACerS Nominating Committee wants to hear from you. Nominations from the membership at large for the 2018 Board of Directors and key leadership positions are welcome.

The Nominating Committee is reaching out to the entire membership for suggestions and recommendations for potential Society leaders. While a nomination doesn’t guarantee selection for a committee or inclusion on the final board slate, it provides the Nominating Committee with a wider pool of talent from which to draw and make its selections. Self-nominations are welcome!

Although nominations may be submitted anytime during the year, they should be submitted by the noted deadlines in order to be considered for the next slate of officers or committee members. Nomination forms are available for the following positions:

PRESIDENT-ELECT – Submit the nomination form confidentially via email to: acerspresident@ceramics.org by Thursday, November 30, 2017.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS – Submit the nomination form confidentially via email to: acerspresident@ceramics.org by Thursday, November 30, 2017.

COMMITTEE MEMBERS (Nominating, Meetings, Member Services, or Publications) – Submit the nomination form confidentially via email to: acerspresident@ceramics.org by Friday, March 30, 2018.

The American Ceramic Society (ACerS) values and seeks diverse and inclusive participation within the field of ceramic science and engineering. ACerS strives to promote involvement and access to leadership opportunity regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, age, sexual orientation, nationality, disability, appearance, geographic location, career path or academic level.
