The Keramos meetings, held during MS&T14, will open with the Student Chapter Business Meeting at 8 a.m. on Sunday, October 12, at the Westin Convention Center Hotel.  At this meeting, the students will meet to discuss best practices at their Chapters and elect a new student representative to the Board of Directors.  The full Convocation, Business Meeting, and Career Speaker will begin at 9 a.m.  All Keramos members are welcome and encouraged to attend the Convocation, Business Meeting, and Career Speaker from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.  The Greaves-Walker Roll of Honor, the fraternity’s highest award for an individual, will be presented to Dr. Carlo Pantano, who is a Distinguished Professor of Materials Science and Engineering and Director of the Materials Research Institute at Pennsylvania State University. At 11 a.m., the featured lecture will be presented by the Career Speaker, Dr. Dick Brow, who is the immediate Past President of ACerS and Curators’ Professor of Ceramic Engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology.

In addition to the Keramos meetings on Sunday, October 12, Keramos organizes the Ceramic Mug Drop and Ceramic Disc Golf Contests, in conjunction with the Material Advantage Student Program.  The contests will be held on Tuesday, October 14, from 11:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the exhibit hall.  All students are encouraged to make a mug or disc and compete!
