The Young Professionals Network (YPN) of The American Ceramic Society (ACerS) is continuing to help foster relationships between students and professionals in the field. At MS&T18 in Columbus, Ohio, the YPN is planning a “Lunch with a Pro” event.
They will be pairing off industry/national lab/academia professionals with students (over lunch or coffee) on Monday, October 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (coffee) and also 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. (lunch), as well as Tuesday, October 16 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. (lunch), to give students a chance to ask candid questions about careers in materials science in an informal, intimate setting. Lunch or coffee is on your own, as the YPN is simply linking students with industry/national lab volunteers.
