The conference on Nordic inorganic chemistry was held June 3-5, 2025, at the Ångström Laboratory, Uppsala University, Uppsala, Sweden and was sponsored by Uppsala University and the ACerS International Nordic Chapter. It encompassed 38 invited talks by leading and early career researchers from the Nordic countries and the near Nordic countries of Germany, Belgium, Austria, and Italy, as well as farther countries, the Republic of South Korea and the USA.

Some of the topics covered were fundamentals of solution processing and gas phase growth of advanced materials, catalysis, photoactive materials, thermoelectrics, electroceramics, batteries, MOFs, solar-cells, next generation nuclear fuel, and carbon capture and storage materials, which highlights the diverse and strong Nordic materials chemistry research.

Very engaged discussions took place after the talks, during the coffee breaks and during dinners.

Following the success of this conference, it is likely that a second conference will follow somewhere in the Nordic countries in the coming years.
