The 33rd Rio Grande Symposium on Advanced Materials (RGSAM) was held on October 23rd, 2023, at the Clyde Hotel in Downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico, with over 130 scientists and engineers attending the symposium. Several section members helped with organizing and sponsoring the event to make it a success.
Nine contestants were awarded best presentations and posters by undergraduates, graduates, technologists, and postdocs. Congratulations to the winners pictured below.

Dr. Ramana G Reddy of the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa delivered the Kreidl Memorial Lecture titled “Innovative Approaches in Decarbonizing Metals Production”.
