First Event

The 1st Brazilian Additive Manufacturing of Ceramics Meeting (CeramicAM) took place September 19–20, 2024, at the São Carlos School of Engineering, USP, in collaboration with UFSCar and IFSP. Over 140 participants, including researchers, students, and industry professionals, attended the event.

Second Event

The ACerS International Brazil Chapter, in collaboration with the Jovens Ceramistas do Brasil (JCB) network, successfully hosted the workshop “How to Prepare and Publish a Scientific Paper” on September 10, 2024. The event was a great success, attracting over 60 participants, both in person at EQA/CTC/UFSC and remotely via Teams.

Leticya L. Coelho, a seasoned scientific editor at Elsevier and a Ph.D. graduate in chemical engineering from UFSC, led the workshop, offering invaluable insights into the scientific publication process. Key topics included navigating the publication process, submission tips, ethical compliance, and effectively handling rejections.

For those who missed the event or wish to revisit it, the recording is available here: https://youtu.be/9WscXlJPA8o.

Additionally, participants received a slide deck and the useful guide, “Elements of Style for Writing” to improve their writing.

We highly recommend exploring Elsevier’s free e-learning platform (https://researcheracademy.elsevier.com/), which offers extensive resources on research publishing and career development.
