The December 2019 issue of ACerS Bulletin is now available online.

In this month’s issue, the cover story looks at the role ceramic and glass materials play in the construction of residential buildings. Authors April Gocha and Lisa McDonald consider both traditional uses, such as roofing and walls, and device applications, such as sanitaryware, of ceramic and glass materials, and considers new and emerging uses in the near future.

In addition to the cover story, this month’s “Business and Market View” column looks at global markets for portable battery-powered products, such as smartphones and electric scooters. Global markets for batteries used in portable battery-powered products is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 10.9% to reach $94.8 billion by 2024.
