ACerS Glass & Optical Materials Division is pleased to provide registration grants of $395 each for selected students to attend the 12th Pacific Rim Conference on Ceramic and Glass Technology (PACRIM 12), including Glass & Optical Materials Division Meeting (GOMD 2017). Details can be found below.

Application deadline is Friday, December 16, 2016.

This award is designed to encourage undergraduate and graduate students in the field of glass and optical materials to attend the PACRIM/GOMD 2017 meeting, which will be held in Waikaloa, Hawaii, USA, May 21-26, 2017. See PACRIM 2017 for further details. The award will cover the student registration fee of $395 per applicant.

Application Process: All candidates must submit an abstract for a talk or poster presentation during the meeting using the online submission process: PACRIM 2017 Abstract Submission. The deadline for abstract submission is December 2, 2016.

Along with the application materials, candidates should send an e-mail requesting registration assistance, including name, institution/university and status (undergraduate or graduate student) to the Chair of GOMD, Professor Edgar D. Zanotto. Furthermore, each student candidate should arrange for a letter of support to be submitted by a sponsoring faculty member.

Decision Process: The GOMD officers will serve as the selection committee for this assistance and will notify the applicants promptly of their decisions.
