SW India Inaugural Event 1

President of the American Ceramic Society, Professor Sanjay Mathur, and President of the Indian Ceramic Society, Mr. Sudipta Saha, officially inaugurated the Southwest India Chapter on September 22, 2023.

Mr. Abhjeth Bandi, Sr VP at Hindalco, was Chief Guest.

Professor Vikram Jayaram, Emeritus Professor, IISc, Distinguished Life Member of ACerS, and Dr. Lk Sharma, Chair of the Northeast India Chapter of ACerS, were Guests of Honor.

This event was jointly organized with Karnataka Chapter of InCerS. Dr. Dinesh Rangappa, Chairman, was present.

The new Southwest India Chapter was inaugurated at this occasion with Dr. C D Madhusoodana, CTI-BHEL, Bangalore as the Chair, Professor Ravi Kumar, IIT Madras, as Secretary and Mr. S Chandrashekar as Treasurer.

Research to Business (R2B) Meet On Ceramics & Advanced Materials – Innovative & Emerging Materials meeting was held where 17 speakers from industry, institute and academia participated. A total of 83 delegates attended this event.

The event ended with a panel discussion where nine experts deliberated on R2B barriers and ways to overcome.

This event was sponsored by HINDALCO Speciality Alumina Chemicals, a corporate member of ACerS.

The event ended with network dinner.
