The December issue of the ACerS Bulletin is now available online.

43  This issue—the final for 2016—is our biggest of the year, featuring the annual ceramicSOURCE 2017 reference and buyer’s resource directory.

This comprehensive resource includes two complete directories—one that lists all companies in the directory in alphabetical order; and another that details which companies provide specific products and services, such as additives, construction ceramics, and refractories. Not sure where to start with this vast resource? Use the alphabetical index to pinpoint what page holds precisely what product or service you’re looking for.

Speaking of searching through the resource directory, have you checked out the online version of ceramicSOURCE? The website allows you to easily browse company listings by keyword, category, and/or location—allowing you to further pinpoint the suppliers that offer resources you need. And, if your own company does not yet have a listing in ceramicSOURCE, considering adding one today—it’s FREE!

The new issue of the ACerS Bulletin also features an in-depth cover story profiling the current ceramic and glass industry. The industry cuts a wide swath across industries producing commodity products to components to highly engineered products—with many applications in between. While there are indicators that the industry is doing well, what specifically is driving growth and what will the future bring? Our profile examines industry indicators, including employment and output projections, manufacturing trends, and current priorities for the United States federal budget when it comes to clean energy, emerging technologies, and transportation. Plus, take a deep dive into two specific ceramic sectors—electroceramics and refractories—to see where their industries are heading.

And be sure not to miss the new issue’s Ceramics Expo 2017 preview by event director Adam Moore. Moore details some of the latest advances by major players in the ceramics industry, including Morgan Advanced Materials, Coorstek, and Blasch Precision Ceramics—who also happen to be exhibitors at CEX 2017. Check out the preview, including a list of the more than 300 exhibitors, and start planning your trip to Cleveland, Ohio, April 25–27. More than 3,500 visitors are expected at CEX 2017—so preregister for free now at ceramicsexpousa.com/visit/register.

Plus, there’s lots more good stuff inside this—and every issue—of the ACerS Bulletin. The current issue is free to all for a short time, but remember that all the valuable content in over ninety years of past issues of the ACerS Bulletin is free only to members—so considering joining us today!
