ACerS is pleased to announce Chris Perry has been selected for Volunteer Spotlight, a program that recognizes a member who demonstrates outstanding service to The American Ceramic Society through volunteerism.

Perry is president of both Christy Refractories and Industrial Services. Previously, he held the role of vice president of engineering with additional responsibilities for R&D and quality control. He began his career at Christy Refractories as an application engineer and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in ceramic engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology.

Perry has been active with ACerS since 2014. He served as the chair of the St. Louis Section for the past three years. He previously held the vice-chair and secretary positions. Perry also volunteered with the planning and coordination of the annual St. Louis Section/Refractory Ceramics Division annual meeting.
