KCC Glass launches operation of Indonesian plant

Korea’s construction materials corporation KCC Glass officially commenced operations at its newly built glass manufacturing plant in Indonesia. KCC Glass channeled $300 million to build the factory with an annual production capacity of 438,000 tons.

UK buys semiconductor factory to ensure sufficient military supply

The British government acquired a U.S.-owned semiconductor manufacturing plant in northern England to secure supply lines for its military. The facility, reportedly at risk of being closed down, is one of the last remaining producers of gallium arsenide chips in the country. The now government-owned plant will be called Octric Semiconductors U.K.

Heidelberg Materials explores carbon captured cement in Italy

Heidelberg Materials has started a feasibility study for a decarbonisation project at its Rezzato Mazzano cement plant in the province of Brescia, which could become the first plant in Italy to produce carbon captured net-zero cement and concrete.
