The Freeport of Riga Authority in Latvia started active development of a wind technology production complex in Kundziņsala with an investment of 85 million.

Turkish firm to invest $520M in solar equipment production

Turkish solar technology company CW Enerji will invest $520 million under the government’s HIT-30 incentive program to expand its high-efficiency solar panel manufacturing capacity in the Antalya Organized Industrial Zone. The facility, which sources more than 80% of its components domestically, is the largest of its kind in Türkiye and Europe.

Air Liquide to invest more than €250M to support European semiconductor

Air Liquide was awarded a long-term contract to build new state-of-the-art industrial gas production units in the heart of “Silicon Saxony” in Dresden, Germany. Under this new long-term contract, Air Liquide will supply large volumes of high-purity gases directly on the manufacturing site of a major customer in the semiconductor industry.

Corning acquires JA Solar facility in Arizona

Corning aquired a solar panel production facility in Phoenix, Ariz., from Chinese-owned solar manufacturer JA Solar. This acquisition is the second recent U.S. acquisition of solar manufacturing assets from a Chinese-owned company. In November 2024, Freyr Battery agreed to acquire the U.S. solar manufacturing assets of Trina Solar for $340 million.

TACC signs MoU with NCB to develop graphene-enhanced concrete

The Advanced Carbons Company (TACC), a wholly owned subsidiary of HEG, signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Council for Cement and Building Materials to jointly develop next-generation sustainable, durable, and high-performance concrete using TACC’s graphene-based additives.

GEPP and Sidel partner to expand sustainable bottle production lines

Grupo GEPP, PepsiCo’s bottler in Mexico, joined forces with packaging equipment specialist Sidel to expand refillable PET and glass bottle production capabilities, allowing the company to transition existing production lines to support refillable formats. PepsiCo aims to achieve double reusable packaging in 20% of beverage servings by 2030.

Electrified Thermal Solutions and HWI partner to transform industrial heat

Boston-based Electrified Thermal Solutions and HWI, a member of Calderys, announced a strategic manufacturing partnership. The collaboration will develop and produce electrically conductive firebricks, which will be used in Electrified Thermal’s Joule Hive Thermal Battery.

US to release result of probe into chip imports in two weeks

The Trump administration will announce the results of a national security probe into imports of semiconductors in two weeks, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said on Sunday, July 27. The probe, being conducted under Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962, could lay the groundwork for new tariffs on imports in pharmaceuticals and semiconductors.

The Prusament PP Glass Fiber is a reinforced polypropylene composite that prints more easily than standard polypropylene. The recommended nozzle temperature is 245°C, with a heatbed setting around 95°C.
