German government pledges more than €2B for nuclear fusion
The German government will invest more than 2 billion euros by 2029 to support its ambition to build the first nuclear fusion reactor in the country. In its fusion energy action plan, the government said the funds will flow into research and developing pilot projects.
US strikes $80B deal for new nuclear power plants
The U.S. government inked a partnership with the Canadian owners of Westinghouse Electric that aims to build at least $80 billion in nuclear reactors. Under the agreement, the U.S. government will arrange financing and help secure permits for the Westinghouse reactors. In return, the U.S. government will receive a 20% share of future profits.
X-energy sister company contracted for in-space nuclear technology
The U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory’s Space Vehicles Directorate gave space technology and infrastructure services company Intuitive Machines an $8.2 million contract extension to develop next-generation nuclear power systems for spacecraft and lunar infrastructure.
Tech giants announce $7B data center, Michigan’s first hyperscale campus
Three tech giants—OpenAI, Oracle, and Related Digital—announced their plans to build a massive data center in Saline Township, Mich., as part of their Stargate joint venture. Construction is slated to begin in 2026.

Allied acquires ACTCHEM intellectual property rights and licenses
In June 2025, Allied Mineral Products, LLC purchased the intellectual property rights to ACTCHEM, a family of abrasion resistant technology used in industrial applications. Building on this acquisition, in October 2025, Allied obtained licenses to market and sell ACTCHEM in North America, Europe, Middle East, India, Asia, Australasia, and Africa.
onsemi completes acquisition of Vcore power technologies from Aura Semiconductor
onsemi completed the acquisition of rights to Vcore power technologies, including associated intellectual property licenses, from Aura Semiconductor. This strategic deal accelerates onsemi’s vision to address the complete power tree in artificial intelligence data center applications, from grid to core.
Nvidia takes $1B stake in Nokia
Nvidia is taking a 2.9% stake in Nokia with a $1 billion investment. Concurrently, Nokia said that it would adapt its 5G and 6G software to run on Nvidia’s chips and will collaborate on networking technology for artificial intelligence.
Eurasian Development Bank supports program to develop secondary raw material market
The Eurasian Development Bank, the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund, and the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic signed a tripartite agreement at the Fourth International Conference on Public–Private Partnerships. The document marks the launch of a program to develop the secondary raw material market.

University of Kansas researchers created the Kansas Energy Transition Atlas site, which features wind regulatory information for every county in the state. The site shows that counties use at least five different policy approaches to enable or block wind development.
